Kristy LaNay McElroy, 48, of Benton, Arkansas, was called to her Heavenly Home on December 3rd, 2018. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 9th, 1970 to parents Bobby and Ruth McElroy. Kristy will be lovingly remembered for her over-the-top and energetic personality that could put a smile on even a stranger’s face. She was always so happy to be around family and friends and loved to be the life of the party wherever she went. Kristy loved to cook and was famous for her chocolate gravy and biscuits, Mexican chicken, and her dream pies- which were just never fluffy enough for her. She enjoyed watching WWE and the Dallas Cowboys in her spare time and was proud of the fact that she was the youngest sibling of four-which meant she could always throw her older siblings under the bus if she ever got in trouble. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, as well as her father, Bobby McElroy, who welcomed her into the Lord’s House with open arms. Kristy is survived by her mother: Ruth McElroy; her “three ladies and little man”: Nicole (Keith) Trent and Kara, Kathleen and Lee Brannen; three siblings: Glenn (Carol), Paula (Gary), and Scott (Renae); her two precious grandchildren: Layton and Kingsley Trent; and a host of numerous family and friends that meant the world to her. Kristy will be incredibly missed and will always live on in the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to have met her.
