Joyce Humphrey

They were born to the late Luther and Christine Boyd. Joyce departed this life on January 3, 2024 after a lingering illness at home with her family.

She accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized and attended Macedonia Baptist Church in Madison, Arkansas later on she moved her membership to Spring Creek Baptist Church in Crow Creek.

Joyce had many names she was called Honey, Mama, Granny, MawMaw, Big Sis, Sister, friend, etc. She was known for her kindness, having a heart of gold, and always looking out for someone, sometimes even strangers.

She loved to cook, Joyce was known for cooking for family and friends. She always cooked like she was cooking for an army and then some. She was a great cook specializing in soul food and wild game her food was outstanding! Joyce was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend, aunt, etc.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Larry, Luther Jr., LLoyd her twin, Ronnie, and Donnie Boyd; one sister, Cathrine; and son Deon Boyd.

Joyce is survived by her, husband, James Humphrey, two daughters, Nakita and Misty Boyd; son, Demarco Humphrey; two sisters, Linda and Lois Boyd; two brothers, Curtis and Donald Boyd; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of brother-in laws, sister in laws, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
