Joe Earl Brown, 84, of Little Rock passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 15, 2024. Joe was born November 30, 1939, in England, AR, the son of Earl and Estelle (Jacobs) Brown. Joe had a difficult beginning to his life, weighing only three pounds at birth. The doctor and nurse thought he was stillborn. He was set aside as they attended to his mother and they didn’t realize that he was alive until he started crying. From this traumatic beginning, he lived to the ripe old age of 84. Joe worked most of his life assisting his brother, Johnny and his brother-in-law, Melvin Styers, in their respective electrical businesses. Joe was the loving caretaker of his mother in her later years as he lived with her and enabled her to live a long, full life at home.
He is survived by his son Joe Earl, Jr., who lived with and cared for him until his passing and a sister, Billie Styers (Melvin) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Juanita Hazelwood, Betty Crain, and Elizabeth Estes and a brother, Johnny Brown.
A graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park at 3PM on Wednesday April 3, 2024.
