Herschel Edward Martin, age 70, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. He was born on March 31, 1954, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Herbert and Mary Martin. In addition to his parents, Herschel is preceded in death by his brothers, Butch Shaw and Herbert Martin II.
Herschel was a man of unwavering conviction and remarkable skill. A stubborn yet honest soul, he approached life with a dedication that mirrored his love for motorcycles and the open road. As a skilled carpenter, he poured his heart into every project, taking immense pride in his craftsmanship. Herschel's bond with his mother was undeniable, showcasing his tender side amidst his strong-willed demeanor. Above all, he stood firm in his beliefs, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Those left to cherish Herschel's memory include his wife, Frances Martin; son Jeremy Martin (Heather); daughter, Ginny Oswalt (Michael); sisters, Suzanne Fields and Sandra Chavez (Carlos); brother, Herman Martin; sister-in-law, Karen Martin; and grandchildren, Blake Andersen, Makayla Oswalt, Aaron Gann, and Brandon Gann. He was also a wonderful step-dad to Ricky Savina, Sherry Wood, and Jonathan Asner; and papaw to Arianna Crouch, Jason and Jasper Asner, and Garrett Savina.
