He served in the U.S. Army. He retired with 35 years from Western Electric Company and six years with Reliance Telephone Company.
Mr. Turley was a member of Faith Lutheran Church since 1961.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Gladys Turley, a sister Dora Jo Fletcher, son Kevin Wayne Turley, and daughter Teresa Ann Turley.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dolores Turley; son Tim Turley and wife Martha of California; four granddaughters, one grandson, three great-granddaughters, and a host of friends.
Open visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Hwy 5 North in Alexander.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 29, at 3:00 p.m., at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Pastor Chris Patton officiating. The family is wearing summer casual attire.
