George C. Clarke

George C. Clarke, age 77, of Benton, passed away August 11, 2020. He was born November 20, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to George H. and Eloise Clarke. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of nearly 60 years, Raywin Ann Clarke.

George was a greeter at New Beginnings Apostolic Church in Benton.

He was a people person and loved to tease and talk with everyone.

He is survived by daughter Mitzi (Hank) Lopez; son George P. Clarke, all of Benton; three grandchildren, Joshua (Kristina) Lopez of El Paso, Texas, Tabatha Lopez of Little Rock, and Canaan Lopez of Benton; great-grandson, Henry Lopez; and sister Debbie (Ray) Heigle of Westwego, Louisiana.

Service will be Thursday, August 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander.
