He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Mary Kaye Davis, and his parents Lewis Davis and Ethel Moss, and sister Margaret Wood. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Phillips and David, son, Paul Davis and Beth, brother, Lewis Leroy Davis and Louise, and six grandchildren: Allison, Dawson, Madison, Luke, Ruth, and Jack.
Mr. Davis was “born again” in 1971 and never strayed from the old time religion. All of his Christian life he was a humble servant, hard worker, diligent soul winner and faithful member of independent Baptist churches. Upon passing he was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Bryant, Arkansas.
Mr. Davis worked at Timex for forty-four years and served in the Arkansas Army National Guard.
He was a loving, gracious man of God who loved Jesus more than anything. His life verse was James 4:14, “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”
Thank you, Pops, for saying “Yes” to the Lord.
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15
