Dorlene Virginia Altman, 90, of Bryant passed away June 18, 2024. She was born December 28, 1933, in Lonoke, Arkansas to the late Joseph and Bertha (Mitchell) Eaton. In addition to her parents, Dorlene was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband, Robert Altman; son, Robin Altman; great-granddaughter, Annora Gildner; and siblings, James (Hazel) Eaton, Vernon (Mary) Eaton, Wendell (Bonnie) Eaton, Delbert (Betty) Eaton, Oretha Yeatman, and Clifford Eaton.
Those left to cherish the memories of Dorlene include her children, Patricia Vick and Terry Altman; grandchildren, Erin (Ryan) Gildner and Erich “Harry” Lah; and great-grandchildren, Hagen and Koen Gildner.
Dorlene will always be remembered for her love of family, animals, and flower gardening. She was a kind, gentle spirit and would do anything for her loved ones. She was highly regarded for her sewing skills, from Barbie Doll couture to potholders. She made many a quilt, sewed choir robes for her grandson’s choir group, and made her granddaughter’s wedding dress.
Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with Funeral services following at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Pinecrest Funeral Home in Alexander. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
