I know we will all miss Carolyn ----so many, many memories------Mark will be home on his Christmas break----and I will give you a call and he can bring me to your home-----sorry I missed the services---but I do not drive  over the bridge any more-----but my thoughts and prayers have been with you---I know how HARD this time has been for all of you--------we just have to  know she is in HEAVEN---Love Diane


Two of my fondest memories:

I was staying the night (or week or whatever lol) with yall and Aunt Caroline was driving me and Jen to the mall.  She proceeded to tell the funniest story about how she met Uncle Richard and his old car.  She just went on and on and had me rolling!  Laughing so hard I was in tears.  THEN when we got to the mall - she kept pointing out various boys "do you think he's cute?" "Well, what about him" - you know, doing her best to embarass me lol.  It culminated in her going over to a group of boys to let them know I thought they were cute.  I just wanted to crawl in a hole!  It was one of the best days ever lol.

Then my second fond memory is of white yogurt covered pretzels.  Anytime we came for the holidays - she had all these homemade treats out and those were my very favorite.  My freshman year of college - Aunt Carolyn sent me my very first care package.  And guess what was in it ?  Yogurt covered pretzels.  And I didn't share lol.

I think back on the last time we saw each other and am heartbroken it was so long ago.  I guess getting to "talk" on facebook and keep up with the goins on makes the time fly by without notice.  But sharing the journey was sure nice.

I will miss her.

So sorry to see this. This is sad news. So sorry to hear about your mom, Jennifer.  She was such a lovely person.  Remember all the fun times we had. I will be praying for you and famy. God bless and Pray for peace.

I worked with Carolyn years ago at SVI. Lost contact and recently reconnected through FB . Not only was she one of the best nurses I've ever known, but I also consider her a wonderful, compassionate friend. She will be missed . Thank you Carolyn for being a friend. 

I am so sorry for your loss. Carolyn Ann was a special cousin to me.  I cherish many, many memories of time spent with her,  both as we grew up and later as adults.  She will always hold a special place in my heart.  Prayers for all ❤️ 

Thank you, to all of your family, for being my friends and my family for a few years a long time ago. I am praying for you, Richard, Ricky and Jennifer - and all of your family - as you heal during this time.

I loved this girl  we were great friends in school
And was always visiting on Facebook or messenger  heaven definitely got another angel and my husband Tim died in May of this year. She reached out and was always so sweet to check on me Richard I know that you’re going to miss her and let me tell you it’s rough that first year for everything so I will be thinking about you this Christmas. We take care.

Carolyn was the sweetest kind Mom! I went to school with her daughter Jennifer and lost track, but then Carolyn was on Facebook and we reconnected. We would chat back and forth on various pictures and it was nice to see their travels. 

Richard, Jennifer and Ricky my thoughts and prays go out to you. 

I met Richard and Carolyn, Jennifer's parents in november 1990, I went back to Little Rock to improve my english and Jennifer and I have been friends since 1988 when I went to Mills High School as an exchange student.  I am from El Salvador. 
I'll never forget how welcome they made me feel in their home, Carolyn was always a kind and loving person who I grew to love like my other mom.  She made me feel like I was part of her family. 
We kept in touch, not as often as before, but she got to see photos of my family in our last conversation this year. 
I just wish I wasn't that far right now. 
I sure will miss you Carolyn!

I met Carolyn and Richard years ago when I attended the same church (GSFBC), and reconnected through Facebook a few years back. She was such a sweet spirit, an encourager and caregiver in her DNA, so faithful in her walk, and a true joy to know. She will be greatly missed. May her memory be a blessing. 

Mrs Carolyn you were so special to me. I loved grooming your sweet pup and getting to visit. You were always so kind to me. You will be missed greatly. 

Carolyn leaves a legacy of love, demonstrated through encouragement, kindness, humor, and thoughtfulness.  Whether it was a brief phone call or an evening spent with Richard and Carolyn, you always walked away knowing that God had used Carolyn to make the world a kinder, gentler place through the ministry of her life.  She loved God, and He used her to touch lives exactly as He would touch them – with unconditional love, insightful guidance, and thoughtful perspective.  She was practical in how she lived her life and extravagant in how she shared her love for God and for others.  The consistency of her character proved that God was part of the fabric of her being and not just an adornment worn occasionally.  The love she, Richard, and Jennifer have shown to Terri, to me, and especially to our two sons over almost three decades of friendship has left a lasting legacy that always will influence how we see the challenges we face in the years ahead – to forgive others and ourselves, be faithful to God, and perhaps most importantly just to laugh.

We are so sorry Carolyn is gone from you. She was always so kind to me. I remember the first time I met her when I was engaged to Fred, her cousin, We went to the grocery store in Little Rock and she started telling me all about the family and the family history. She always made us feel welcome. She was good to my children and she had a special bond with Kimberly. I will miss her.  Be gentle with yourselves.
