BJ was a graduate of Bryant High School in 2010 and was the catcher for the Bryant Hornets and a key player in winning Bryant’s first state championship. He caught throughout the game with a broken wrist, which he had broken just a week prior and still insisted on playing his last game. Which he did and the Hornets won big! He was forever proud of that night. BJ loved to hunt, fish, and go mudding where he would get his truck stuck, too many times. He enjoyed riding his Harley which he greatly cherished.
BJ is preceded in death by his father, Brannon Ellis, his Brother Tanner, and his grandfathers, Eddie Alpe and Robert Ellis.
Those left to honor and carry BJ’s memory are his Mother, Cindy Alpe, his wife, Stephani Ellis, his children, Gunner, Brannon, Bennett, and Lynnox, his brother, Josh Munson (Lainee) all of Bryant, Arkansas, and sisters, Arielle Ellis of South Carolina, and Savannah Ellis of Maumelle, Arkansas. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Jenny Alpe of Bryant and Terri Ellis of Benton, his great-grandmother, Doris Ott and his aunts, Becky Wallace (Chris) of Bryant, Shannon Alpe of Spring City, Tennessee, and Brandi Ellis of Benton along with 2 nephews, a niece, many cousins and a host of many, many friends whom he truly loved and adored.
He and his brother, Josh, traveled the United States together climbing cell phone towers for a living and loved to send videos to their mother to freak her out.
BJ had a heart of pure gold. He was always one call away if you needed anything and was the best hugger in the world. He lit up every room he walked into and had a laugh that was incredibly contagious. BJ’s aunt Brandi stepped into help when his father passed and loved and adored her real life baby doll. His aunts Becky and Shannon as teenagers would babysit him and between the four of them including his mother Cindy helped create the goofy, bold, and fearless man we all knew. His four boys were the light of his life. He loved taking them mudding and playing ball. Little do they understand, but they have gained the best of guardian angels. He will be truly missed and forever remembered.
