Barbara J Brown

Barbara was born April 9, 1932, in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Inman Julian Jones and Iva Bell Bibb.

Barbara graduated high school in Miami, Florida in 1950 and married Thomas Luther Brown, Jr. on May 11, 1952, in Miami. Barbara and Tom were sealed for time and eternity in August 1960 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They enjoyed 54 wedding anniversaries together until Tom passed away on March 29, 2007. They had six children, two of whom died at childbirth (Thomas Luther Brown III and Steven Lee Brown). Barbara is also predeceased by her sister, Alma Jean Jones, her brother, Robert Inman Bibb Jones, and two grandsons, Michael Jamas Brown and Robert Rodriguez Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Jones, her three sons, Bob, Julian, and Richard Brown, 22 grandchildren, and 57 great-grandchildren.

Barbara especially loved researching her family history and assisted others with their own family histories by personally researching tens of thousands of names. She loved being active in her church and fulfilled many different responsibilities and roles, as she served and ministered to others.

Visitation will be held on June 30, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, at Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park, at 7401 AR-5, Alexander, Arkansas. Internment will be held on July 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Forest Hills Cemetery, at 10200 AR-5, Alexender, Arkansas.
