ALEXANDER – Audrey Larea Robinson, 95, died unexpectedly in her home, surrounded by loved ones on Nov. 25, 2022.
Audrey was born on Jan. 31, 1927, in Damascus, Arkansas. She was the daughter of William “Archie” and Gusty Hartwick and graduated from Southside High School in 1944.
Audrey was committed to her career at Timex, as she worked for them for almost 30 years, eventually becoming a supervisor. She then began working for her brother’s boat company as head of upholstery because of her sewing talents, which led her to become the head seamstress for Dillard’s until retirement.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, putting together thousand-piece puzzles, cooking from scratch, storytelling, playing music, working in her activity books, and spending time with her friends and family. She played several instruments and even performed on the radio for a while.
Audrey was a caregiver, a role model, and an inspiration to everyone around her. She was always the life of the party and everyone adored her enthusiasm and warm smile. She was strong and resilient, and never afraid to tell you the truth. She would give you the shirt off of her back. Anyone who knew Audrey was blessed to have known her most genuine and sweet soul.
Audrey leaves to cherish her memory her three children; Barry Duane Robinson of Springfield, MO, Sheila Larea Crisler of Hensley, AR, and Paula Renee Hardin of Alexander, AR; eight grandchildren, Brandy Michelle (Greg) Maurer, Jason Michael Rasburry, Brittany Lee (Tanner) Zuber, Hayley Elizabeth Robinson, Walker Lee Robinson, William Sawyer Robinson, and Skylar Shyanne Hardin; and five great-grandchildren, Payton Kendall Maurer, Laiken Larea Maurer, Carson Gregory Maurer, Britan Adele Zuber, and Azure River Lee Laicher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilburn “Robby” Leon Robinson; her brothers, Ocie Hartwick, Opie Dee Hartwick, Roscoe Hartwick, Eugene Hartwick, Johnny Hartwick; her sisters, Ermajean Hartwick Leonard, Lois Hartwick Phipps, and Silva Hartwick; and her granddaughter, Amber Renee Starrett.
Visitation will be held for family and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at the Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 7401 AR-5, in Alexander, AR. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a balloon release. The interment will take place at Elizabeth Hall Cemetery in New Blaine, AR.
