It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Russell Lang at the age of 88.

Russell was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. We will remember with great fondness Russell’s keen interest in current events and how Russell touched friends and family with his generosity of spirit and intense family pride. Nothing made Russell happier than a high-spirited game of Rummoli with family on a Saturday night.

Russell is mourned by his wife Fay; sons Robin, Murray, Lorrie (Joanne), John (Maureen) and daughter Evelyn; his 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; his five sisters Margaret, Minnie, Verna, Gertie, Ruth and brother Bill, as well as many loving friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff in the Acute Care for Elders (ACE) unit of the Abbotsford Regional Hospital.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service in celebration of Russell which will be held on Tuesday, September 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the First Memorial Funeral Home, 27555 - 31 Avenue, Aldergrove.
