Born to parents Elizabeth(d) and Emil(d) Sorlie in Weldon, Saskatchewan, she grew up on a farm with her sisters Ester(d) and Pearl(d).
At 19 she married Lawrence RH Wishart (1905) until his death in 1997.
They had four sons Robert(d) (Karlene), David Wayne (Phyllis), Daniel(d) (Inge) and Allan (Linda).
She is survived by six grandchildren.
She also had 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Myrtle and Lorne spent a lot of time camping with their kids in BC.
She worked for years in the BC Hydro cafeteria on Burrard st.
She was a great cook and there was always fresh baked bread to be had.
Myrtle and Lorne were long time members of Glad Tidings Church.
There will be no service by request.
She will be sorely missed.
