Ken was born in Vancouver on May, 23, 1950, the youngest of seven children. He was predeceased by his parents John and Rhoda Dedrick, brothers John and George and sister Barbara. Ken is survived by his wife of 50 years Susan, daughter Michelle(Stephen), sons Steven(Angie), Michael(Danielle), Lee and grandchildren Caden, Mackenna, Kingston, Miller and Atticus. Ken is also survived by his brother Bob(Ellie), Gerry(Tracy) and sister Pat(Stacy), plus many nieces and nephews.
Ken grew up in Burnaby and attended Simon Fraser University to become a teacher. He spent his entire career teaching Grade Sevens in various schools in Langley. "Mr. D" as he was affectionately called by his students.
Many thanks to the Doctors and nurses of the 2NBA Unit and ICU Unit at Langley Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion during Ken's final days.
