Bev was born August 7th 1930 in Vancouver, B.C. to Florence Mae Hunt and Paul Philion and was the oldest of four children.
She was married to Bob King in Vancouver on April 1, 1950, a union that was to last for 55 years. Together they raised their children: Bev Jr, Bob Jr., Art and Yvonne.
Bev was predeceased by her husband Bob in 2005, her son Art in 2017, her grandson Robert in 1996 and her brother Ralton in 1971.
She is survived by her children Bev (Rick) Koelwyn, Yvonne (Gary) Haller and Bob (Jo-Anne) King, her two sisters Cosette Binnie and Loraine Davies, eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mom loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart and that love was shown to all that she met.
Our family was so blessed to have such a loving, compassionate, fun loving, generous Mom and everyone who knew her always said what a beautiful and sweet woman she was. We had such fun growing up with her and Dad and we weep because she is no longer with us and we rejoice to know that when she walked through the valley of the shadow of death, Jesus walked with her right into her eternal home.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:4, 6
