Yolanda "Londa" Marlene Gonzalez, age 63, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2022, surrounded by her family and friends. She was a former resident of Southern California where she grew up and lived before her husband David retired and they relocated to Tennessee. Yolanda, whom we lovingly called “Londa” was born on December 16, 1958, to Christobal and Emilia Trujillo in Butte, Montana. On August 30, 1980, she married David Gonzalez at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lomita, CA. Londa was fond of gardening, fishing, and camping. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and had an appreciation for going on drives in their Jeeps, RVing throughout the western United States, and riding their quads as a family. She was preceded in passing by her mother Emilia (Minnie) Trujillo.
Londa leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, David Gonzalez; her beautiful children, sons David Gonzalez Jr. and Daniel Eloy Gonzalez, and daughter Marlena Marie, son-in-law Tony Saldivar, and grandson Phillip; father, Christobal (Chris) Trujillo; sisters, Janie Miller, Katie Carter, Ruby Stein, Donna Mungaray, Tina Pedroza, and Emily Gerlach, and her cat Toby whom she loved very much and called him “kitten”. Yolanda always reminded us that once she was gone, she could not pray for us until we prayed for her. So please, pray for our Yolanda.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 858 Louisville Rd., Alcoa, TN 37701, on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 10:00am.
