William Henry Finger

William (Bill) H. Finger, age 92 of Maryville, passed on Monday, August 14, 2017. He was the son of the late Ernest R. Finger and Gladys (Wright) Finger. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII in the Philippines. Bill retired from the Pot Rooms at Alcoa Aluminum Company. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Mildred Finger and sisters Betty Tucker, Kitty Roberts, and Delores Cox. He is survived by sons Bill (Nancy) of Huntingdon TN, Rick (Patsy) of Knoxville, and daughter Meleny (Johnny) Boring of Maryville, TN; Grandchildren Gregg (Jessica) Finger of Hixson, TN, Kara Finger of Knoxville and George Boring of Maryville, TN; Great-grandsons Braxton and Maddox Finger of Hixson, TN and foster grandson Danny Helton of Dandridge, TN; Sisters Carol (Bobby) Black of Lenoir City, TN, Shirley Ogle of Maryville, TN, Norma (Tom) Peeler of Greenback, TN and Glenda (Gary) Evans of Greenback, TN; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday August 17, 2017 from 1:00-2:00pm in the Mausoleum Chapel of Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens (3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, TN, 37701) with a funeral Service to follow at 2:00pm with Chaplin Carl Ford officiating.
