Shirley Ann Williams

Shirley Ann Williams "Memaw", age 83, born February 17, 1941, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Preceded in death by parents, Hobart John Irick and Ruby Grace Irick; sisters, Helen, Billie, Eula Mae, Jimmie and Mary; brothers, Paul, Roy, Hugh and Kenneth.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Paul Williams; sons, Greg (Linda) Williams, Stan (Michelle) Williams; grandchildren, Nonafaye Williams (Nic) Bradley, Julianne Williams (Deisy) Lucia, Josh Williams, Blake (Emily) Williams, Whitney (John) Hamlin, Brooke (Tanner) Milam, Jake Williams; great-grandchildren, Kayauna, Aniyah, Abner, and Abigail.

Shirley loved spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed. She was a 49-year member of West Park Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class. Her greatest joy came from helping raise her grandchildren and maintaining her flower gardens and koi pond.

The family would like to thank University of Tennessee Medical Center Hospice Services and Cavette Hill Assisted Living for their excellent care.

The family will receive friends at Sherwood Chapel & Memorial Gardens from 2:00 - 3:30 PM Wednesday, September 25, 2024, with a service to follow at 3:30 PM, Rev. Sam Polson officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 12:45 PM Thursday, September 26, 2024 for a 1:00 PM interment.
