I was fortunate to get to know, love and appreciate and work along side of Dr. Mike at Cornerstone for many years.
We have a memory of having lunch with Dr. Mike and Bill Stines at a restaurant in Townsend, TN several years ago.  
These two men were happy, joyous and free in their lives as they helped many people get sober and stay sober.  Both of those men have passed away and I'm sure they are having a wonderful time.

Mike Sadler was a Friend and at times, closer than a Brother.

We hung out in college together, I fixed him up with a Blind Date and we double dated.  We were in the same line of business and shared many fun times and deep conversations together. We also drank a lot and played a lot of Gut Poker together.  As the years passed, we tried to help others that were headed down some of the rocky roads that we had already traveled. Mike was an inspiration to others and helped many people during his short time on this Earth. 
I miss him badly. He was a true Friend and a One of a Kind!!!!
I am sure that he is doing God's Work, today, wherever he is and doing it with that big contagious smile of his.

I knew  Mr Sadler in the world of Yoshukai Karate in the 70s in Montgomery Alabama. I visited him at his home and helped him test students. You were a great Sensei and Guide. I lost contact and was looking him up did not realize he lived in Louisville Tennessee. I live in Knoxville. Peace to his family. Prayer's

Mike was always there for his family and friends. He was kind, caring, blatantly honest and always willing to help. He helped me during a dark time in my life, 1989, when nothing seemed to be going right. He urged me to trust a God of my understanding and ask Him to help me turn my life around.  He taught me the Serenity Prayer and encouraged me to use it whenever I felt down or alone.

I probably not be here today if it were not for my loving friend, Mike Sadler.

That infectious smile and deep voice always made me feel better. I wish I could see and hear him now. RIP my friend. I am sure that we will meet again at that Great Meeting Place far beyond forever!!

We met last year in the Dominican Republic. I had an instant connection with this man. Felt like we had been friends for years.   Our get together was too short but will be remembered forever. RIP Mike!!

I write this with a heavy heart because I am still in denial and find it hard to believe. I’m still excepting a message from Mr. Mike to pop up on FB telling a joke, sharing of faith or keeping the faith in hard times and mostly spreading the word of God. Just hard to believe I won’t get those anymore. 

Ever since Mr. Mike and you two came in to my life many years ago I have considered y’all my brother / sister and Mr. Mike a dad. After all I did spend a lot of time living with y’all and learned the ways of the Sadler house hold, school, Church on Sunday’s, karate, football, and clean. Those values I learned I still go by and have infused them into my values I learned from my family. Mr. Mike has taught me so much as a teen and through out life even when I was gone. 

I don’t want to drag this out but there are many memories I will always carry with me and mostly deep in my heart on Mr. Mike. Its his love for God, family and to live life to the fullest. I fondly remember our last visit together during Thanksgiving of 2012 when I was back in TN when he got to meet my kids. This was a special moment for me because I was to deploy to the lands of many evils. I don’t know if it was my body gestures talking or use talking but he just knew where and what I would be doing. By nights end I can still hear his words, “Son, no matter how hard it gets or what I come across God is above and has my back and to never lose faith.” Those words echo today even after my retirement.

Ccarry on his legacy which he has bestowed on y’all to pass down to your kids and grandkids. He will always be looking down and guiding y’all no matter the situation.

Michael John was as close to a brother as one could have, in our days in high school and shortly after.  Through playing football together, it seemed like we were inseparable - in good and bad experiences he supported me and I trust me for him.  He Graciously served as our Best Man at my wedding and ow serves The Best Man of whom he now embraces.  We are very BLessed to know Mike koff and on all these years.  He is most definitely a "waring angel" for our Lord and is serving Him with Love and Grace that he gave to all he met while here on earth.  He was such a witness all these years and Anita & I thank God for Mike!

Went to school with Mike at Wolfson.  He was a good friend and great person. He will be missed. 

I met Mike when I worked at Cornerstone Of Recovery from 2009-2014. He was very helpful and always encouraged me by teaching me how to do groups.  He had a wealth of knowledge and I would like to think I absorbed some of that knowledge. He was a good-hearted man. It always made me feel special when he would guide me in my role as a counselor there. He was a great man who didn't mind helping out even when he himself was busy.  He will be greatly missed by many, myself included! 

Mike always seemed to be uplifting people with that smile of his and making you feel special ‼️My dad loved him coming over anytime he was in town and I told Mike that meant a lot to me! He was a fighter till the end and never gave up on life!He will be missed by many who loved and knew him❤️🙏❤️

Only knew Mike my senior year at Wolfson.  Met him at two-a-days in August, 1966.  I was new to Wolfson.  Welcomed me with a big smile. A very encouraging and engaging person from the beginning.
The world will be a lesser place without him. RIP, my friend.

Mike was a man with a heart of gold. We worked together at Cornerstone of Recovery for several years. His amazing spirituality was always on display as he helped countless patients find their path to recovery from alcohol and drugs.  Mike was my friend and I will miss him, yet I take comfort in knowing he's healthy and pain free and enjoying the big meeting in Heaven and we'll meet again someday. 

Mike, went to Wolfson with you. You were always a friend to me. I remember seeing at Beach Rd. Chicken Dinners and you gave me a big hug. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I only knew Mike briefly in high school.  He was older, nice looking and a good guy.  I remember when he was badly hurt in a football game and wore a neck brace
for the rest of the school year.  We were all concerned.  I have since followed him on FB for many years and frequently interacted with him there.  It was interesting knowing him again from a distance ... still the same good guy.  May he Rest In Peace.

Sadler Meijin was like my 2nd father. He was always there when I needed advice and was always pushing me to become stronger and better in life and Karate.  November would have been 41 years of training and guidance under his loving and caring spirit.  I credit and thank Meijin for making me the person I am today.  God bless your spirit forever, Meijin. I love you forever. 

I met Mike in 2009 as a resident at Cornerstone, and gain a friend, quick with a smile, a "how-dee-doo partner!?" I laugh even now as he would make me, a Biased California Boy go find a southern person and write the "Southern Word of the Day" on the chalkboard and be able to explain it in group.  It became a long running joke between us over the years when we met. I learned such important words as "Over-yonder, bubba, papaw/pepaw, happier than a tornado in a trailer park, hushpuppies, and of course, Bless Her Heart!" Many good memories, so travel on my friend, until we meet "Out Back and over Yonder." (If they let me south of the Mason–Dixon line in Heaven, and it isn't Saturday and Tennessee isn't playing football!) Hugs and love to you and your family.!

I met Mike in High School. Had a big crush on him. We did get to talk to each other years later. The last 5 years I shall never forget. In my heart always.

My Mom met Mike while he toured Europe. A couple of years later he got in touch and I, as a young student, was totally thrilled that a native speaker from the mysterious USA taught me English, he even sent me Oreos (not available in Europe at that time).  Some years later Mike moved and the contact was lost but Karate saved us...I searched for Yoshukai and found his  former student Dirk in Germany who helped me to get in touch...we were so happy and kept our long- distance friendship over the years. Although so far away  I regard him as a friend and someone I know since my childhood...I will really really miss him - RIP dear Mike 

Mike Sadler had an incredible impact on my life. He taught a karate class at Jefferson Davis Junior College and I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with him even after I went to Troy University. He set the example for so many people and is missed.

May God be with the entire family in your time of need. Mike will always be remembered to many of us as a gentleman and fine high achieving  young man  in high school. He was one of the best

Mike and I met in high school and remained lifelong friends.  We always had each others back, and shared a lot of laughter and tears over the 50+ years we knew each other. RIP my love, until we meet again. 

My friend, Mike, was one of a kind. From 10th grade English class to the present with many gaps in between. It is funny to me now that he'd always look over at my papers in English class because he was really smart but maybe too busy to prepare. He had quite a lot going on.

More recently, when I lost my husband, Mike was one of the few to be there for me. By visiting me, cheering me up, and always staying in touch. During his health issues I would reach out to check in. He always answered with a loving but humorous message. It is hard to keep your sense of humor when so much is happening. I told him to think that I was virtually squeezing his hand when things got tough. Not much to offer but maybe it was.

He was a valued friend and will be missed.

When I was a Sophomore at Wolfson HS, Mike was a Senior. I made the varsity football team that year and Mike was a larger than life star. His karate expertise only added to the mystique.  He was always nice to the newboys in the room. Rest in Peace .
