Johnny "Cleon" Hearon, age 68, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a member of Middlesettlements United Methodist Church, and retired from KUB after 37 years. Cleon was born January 19, 1948, to Hobart and Mable (Lail) Hearon. Survivors include his devoted wife of 47 years, Linda Ridenour Hearon; daughters and sons-in-laws, JJ and David Wells, and Megan and Justin Marcus; treasured grandchildren, Carson and Dawson Wells, and Landon and Clara Marcus; sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Roger West; so many other loved extended family members, friends and church family. The family would also like to thank the caregivers in the Blount Memorial Home Health care and Hospice programs. Cleon loved the Lord and people, and spent his life in service to his church and his community. He loved the outdoors and was an avid camper, hunter and fisherman. A lifetime athlete himself, Cleon was also a softball coach for 20+ years. His legacy will live on through all those he loved and who loved him in his lifetime. The family has planned a private service at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, but has planned a public celebration of life service at 4:00 p.m. Sunday September 25, at Middlesettlements United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the church.
