James Alan McManigal

Jim was a Senior Accountant for Covenant Medical Group and after many years of service retired in 2010. He was a respected member of his profession and known for his wisdom and knowledge for all things accounting related. He completed is Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jim was a devoted father and grandfather, who loved his family above all else. He kept a small circle of friends who appreciated his witty banter and sense of humor. In his free time, Jim enjoyed weekend outings with his family, which brought him joy and relaxation. He was part of the Springbrook neighborhood in Alcoa and always excited about the growth of the small community.

Jim McManigal is survived by son, Dan (Haley) McManigal; grandchildren, Lukas and Laney; step-daughter, Carrie.

A Memorial service will be held at Sherwood Chapel & Memorial Gardens on November 25th, 2023, with a receiving of friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a celebration of life to follow at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Jim will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his family and friends.
