Glenn Thomas McIntyre, age 76, of Powell, TN passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was born in Jefferson City, MO on March 7, 1946, but was raised in Oak Ridge from the age of 18 months. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School in 1964 and served in the Air Force until 1968. He worked at Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant (K-25) until he retired in 2003.
One of Glenn's favorite things to do was camp with his family. He and his wife traveled all over the United States and to Canadian Provinces. He also loved to be with K-Town Sams camping family. He was a long time member and past master of Beaver Ridge Masonic Lodge #366.
Glenn was preceded in passing by his parents, Glenn and Dorothy McIntyre; brother, Robert McIntyre; sister, Judy Jenkins.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 54 years Jean McIntyre; daughter, Karen McAndrews; son, Kevin McIntyre; grandchildren, Allyson and Austin McAndrews; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Pete Flippen as well as several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The family will honor Glenn with a private Memorial Service, at Sherwood Chapel & Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Highway, Alcoa, TN 37701, in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel. Memorial donations made be made in Glenn's name to Alzheimer's Association Tennessee Chapter, 6025 Brookvale Lane Suite. 207, Knoxville, TN 37919.
