Donald Ray Carter

Donald Ray Carter, age 71, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Donald served his country proudly in the United States Army, following his service to his country he became a long haul truck driver, His favorite thing to do was riding his Harley Davidson.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Carl and Naomi Carter; brother, Garry Cater; grandparents, Homer and Hester Lane.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 44 years Gail Whaley Carter; son, Jeremy Carter; daughter, Jessica Carter Linstroth; sister, Lana Carter Bourne; grandchildren, Joshua David Larkin, Marcus and Megan Linstroth, Kate and Zoe Carter; nephews, Chris Ross, Gary Bourne, Andrew and Zak Whaley; niece, Kaelin Cordis and numerous cousins, in-laws, and close friends.

Family and friends will come together to honor and celebrate the life of Donald on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Sherwood Chapel & Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Highway, Alcoa, TN 33701 in The Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel, with a visitation from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and a funeral service at 2:00pm, a committal service will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in the Masonic Garden.
