Connie Sue Bowling, age 66 of Knoxville, Tennessee received a call to schedule her wing-fitting appointment on Friday March 31st, 2017. Following this appointment, she received an offer she couldn’t refuse. She wants everyone to know she is at peace and will not be returning from this appointment. This offer comes with a huge sign-on bonus—reunion with family and friends she has not seen in years. Her offer takes her to a beautiful place where there is no suffering, no pain, no tears, no sadness; there is only rejoicing. Connie went to meet her new employer on April 3rd, 2017. Connie is preceded in death by parents, Robert Lee Roth and Ruby Sadie Underwood; brothers, Lewis Stinett, Gary Roth and Harrison Roth; sisters, Dorthy “Dot” Griffin, Loriane Bruington and Joyce “Jo” Smith. Survived by brother, Robert Lee Roth Jr.; sister, Elizabeth Locke; children; son, James Scarlett Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Robinson; grandchildren, Cassondra Scarlett and Scarlett Robinson and great-grandchildren, Phoenix Robinson and Clementine Duncan. Connie fought for decades with her cancerous ex-employer, A Silent Killer. Connie was an extraordinary woman. She brought light and love to everyone she encountered. Her smile was infectious, you couldn’t help but smile with her. When things were tough she carried her humor with her. Connie has the strength and will-power of a thousand. As she told us time and time again, “Remember I will always be with you.” The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens, with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.sherwoodchapel.net .
