She was born on October 22, the year, she would tell you, was none of your business, in Knoxville, TN, to Paul and Waneta Atchley Bailey, the youngest of four children.
Beverly was a graduate of Carson-Newman College. She taught at Mount Olive Elementary and other schools, as well as in the Home-Hospital program for Knox County, before taking on her favorite full-time job as a mother to her daughter and best friend, Jennifer.
Beverly is survived by husband, John R. White; daughter Jennifer Leigh (White) Mangone, son-in-law David, grandson August Parker of Washington, D.C.; and mother-in-law, Mrs. Mavis M. White of Seymour, TN. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Beverly is preceded in death by her father and mother; brother, Harry L. Bailey, Sr.; and father-in-law, Roy G. White. She is survived by brother Larry N. Bailey (wife Mary) of Brigham City, UT, and sister Patricia Loy of Knoxville.
Special appreciation to Karen Bundren, Kimberly Parker, Emily Bailey, Katie Houser Gray and Donna Campbell for their support during Beverly's illness. As you think of Beverly’s life, remember these things for your own: Buy the shoes. Order the champagne. Sit outside for a little while longer. Say I love you again even though you just did. Do the things that bring you joy.
