William Gilbert Sharrar

William Gilbert Sharrar age 79 of Parma passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at McLaren Greater Lansing. William was born May 17, 1942 in Albion the son of Gilbert and Mildred (Jacklin) Sharrar and they preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death is a brother, Bob.

William served our country in the U.S. Army National Guard and was employed with the Albion Malleable and Guardian. He loved watching T.V., crime shows (NCIS), war movies, football, basketball, baseball and NASCAR. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling and was a very good softball player in his younger days.

William was united in marriage to Carole Konkle on August 17, 1963 in Albion and she survives. In addition to his wife of 58 years, William is also survived by a son, Jeffrey (Everett Essex) Sharrar, sister, Gloria (Jim) Hunt and 4 nieces.

William’s family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 1-3PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion, MI. His burial is scheduled for 3PM at Albion Memory Gardens, Albion, MI.
