Nicholas Fuentes Sr.

Nicholas Fuentes Sr., age 80 of Albion went to be with the love of his life on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Oaklawn Hospital with his family by his side. He was born December 6, 1934 in Waco, Texas the son of Eugene and Antia (Manjares) Fuentes. On July 17, 1955 he married Dolores Saldana who preceded him in death June 8, 2000.

Nick was a millwright at Hayes Albion for 43 years, a member of St. John Catholic Church and member of its Guadalupe Group. He was a member of the Masons. He

received his Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University where he was a true

Spartan fan. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by:

Sons- Nick (Tonya) Fuentes Jr. of Titusville, FL

Robert E. (Ruth) Fuentes of Grand Junction

Richard David Fuentes of Albion

Michael J. (Annmarie) Fuentes of Ashley, IN

Daughters- Theresa “Terri” Fuentes of Battle Creek

Elizabeth A. “Peanut” (Thomas) Wilson of Albion

Beatrice “Buffy” (Steve Thompson) of Freeland, MI

Yolanda “Yoyo” (Richard) Kakowski II of Jackson

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Dolores.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 from

4 – 8 PM at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finely Drive, Albion,

Michigan 49224 with a Rosary service at 7:30 PM and a one hour visitation will take place

Friday, Oct. 9th at the church prior to the service. Funeral Service will be held

Friday, October 9th at 1:00 PM at St. John Catholic Church, 1020 Irwin Avenue,

Albion with Deacon Ken Snyder officiating.

Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer, American Diabetes

or St. Jude’s Hospital.
