Mary Jane Sandusky

Mary Jane Sandusky age 97 of Albion passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 under the loving care of her family and Harmony Cares Hospice. She was born June 20, 1925 in Jackson the daughter of William and Grace (Oldacre) Koch.

Mary was united in marriage to Kenneth Sandusky on May 29, 1954 and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Lula Faust, Doris Johnson, Ethel (Charles) Daugherty, Edna (Hayden) Joslin, Dale (Esther) Koch, grandson, Jason McGuigan and great-grandson, Jacob Eddy.

Mary was a Life Member of the VFW Post 9411 Auxiliary in Homer and the VFW National Home in Eaton Rapids. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing, camping and going on trips.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Linda (Jim) Collins, Judy McGuigan; grandchildren: Sandra Eddy, Stacy (Chris) Lindahl, Meghan (Rob) Skinner, Kalon McGuigan; great-grandchildren: Autumn, Christian, Jack, Sean, Emily, RJ, Alyssa, Ivan; great-great-grandchildren: Jason and Zayden; special nephew Phil Sandusky, former son-in-law, Kent McGuigan and many other extended family members including her late husband’s family.

Services to celebrate the life of Mary will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 with visitation beginning at 10:30 until the time of service at 11:30 with Pastor Larry Sandusky officiating at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion, MI. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Kenneth in Albion Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Calhoun County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
