Marjorie Louise Robinson, born October 20, 1935, in Colon, MI, was sent to her eternal home on March 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Homer, MI. She was the beloved daughter of Marion and Charlotte Merica.
She enjoyed listening to music, baking for Sunday suppers, and visiting with her family. She especially loved to gossip. A simple woman at heart, Marjorie found her greatest joy in the quiet beauty of country life. She loved the open fields, the fresh air, and the honest work that came with it. You could often find her in her flower beds or roaming around her vegetable garden.
Marjorie was the foundation of her family – steady, strong, and unwaveringly dependable. Marjorie believed in resilience, in facing life head-on, and never sugarcoating the truth. While her words could be firm, her actions spoke of a love that was deep and constant.
Marjorie is survived by her three children: Thomas (Nola) Robinson of Homer, Jane (Mark) Piper of Marshall, and Fred (Donna) Robinson of Homer; grandchildren, Chad (Amanda) Robinson, Jesse Robinson, Erica (Bob) Cundiff, Wesley Lorenz, Jr., Shane Lorenz, Rebecca (Charles) Stephens, Cassondra Gates, Kala Robinson, Tasha (Patrick) Garrett, and Amber (Mel) Lee; 14 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Robinson and grandson, Jacob Lorenz.
She leaves behind a family that she shaped with her strength, her stubbornness, and her unshakable sense of duty. They will miss her honesty, presence, and the way she held them together.
Marjorie’s legacy is not one of flowery words but of enduring love, shown in ways only those closest to her could truly understand.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 21, 2025, from 11:00am – 12:00pm at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr. Albion, MI, 49224 with a Memorial Service to follow at 12:00pm.
