Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson, Michigan. He was born April 16, 1937 to Rafael and Ignacia (Sierra) Lopez in Harlington, Texas. On May 19, 1956, he married Maria Antonia Ortiz who preceded him on October 31, 2011.
Manuel was devoted to his restaurant Lopez Taco House. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and had many friend’s, he loved the outdoors and doing yard work. He was a member of St. John’s and Guadalupe Group Catholic Church in Albion. He was a good, caring, honest and loving man.
Manuel is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Gregory) Sander of Albion; sons, Daniel (Laura) Lopez
of Coldwater; Ismael “Mike” (Lora) Lopez of Albion; seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren;
brothers, Pete (Elida) Lopez, Frank (Elisa) Lopez, Ralfael (Yolanda) Lopez, Reymond (Gloria) Lopez,
Tomas (Sandy) Lopez; sisters, Dora Aguiar, Eloisa Lopez, Olga (Lorenzo) Rodriguez, Rosie (Richard) Gomez, Maribell( Leo) Noriega, Elvia (Mike) Garcia and Rachel Villerreal. Sister-in-law Linda (Rodofo) Lopez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Maria; son Abel; Brother Rodofo Lopez; grandson Jose Manuel Lopez.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday October 1, 2018 from 9:30AM – 11:00AM at St. John Catholic Church, 1020 Irwin Avenue, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Mass will be Monday October 1 at 11:00AM at the church with Father Joe Gray officiating.
