Lori is survived by her parents, Allan (Mariefay) Walker Albion, MI; Dixie (William) Grant Albion, MI; husband, Ravin J. Jordan Jr, Jackson, MI; stepdaughter Tyleisha Treadway, Jackson, MI; Godchildren, Morgan Griffin, Baltimore, MD; Danielle Seedorf, Battle Creek, MI; Laila Wilson, Detroit, MI.
Siblings, Allan Walker Jr., Spring Arbor, MI; Pamela Walker-Stokes Lafayette, IN and Stephen (Angela) Walker, Indianapolis, IN. She is preceded in death by Grandparents, Wiley and Beatrice Walker of Albion, M., AJ and Mary Pressley of Albion, MI, Uncle and Aunt Lillie and Kenneth Bennett, Albion, MI, and Uncle Alvin J Pressley, Lansing, MI.
Lori was born on March 7, 1961 in Albion, MI to Allan Walker Sr. and Dixie Walker. She graduated from Albion Senior High School in 1979. She attended Kellogg Community College and graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Science. She received her certification as a License Practical Nurse from Jackson Community college.
In 1994, Lori married Tyrone Flournoy, while their marriage only lasted a brief time Lori gained a loving stepdaughter Tyleisha Treadway and four grandchildren Andrew Bradley, Johil Glaspie Jr., Tyrone Glaspie, and Jalia Glaspie of Jackson, MI. In 2000, Lori met Ravin D Jordan Jr and after a brief romance, they were married on September 2, 2000 and were married for 21 years.
Lori worked as a LPN nurse for Foote Hospital for over 30 years. Lori began her life’s mission as a LPN/Teacher assistant at Lyle Torrent Center caring for children with special needs. Lori loved her kids, for her this was more than a job but her life’s purpose. She enjoyed taking them to the fair, going swimming, dressing up for holidays and just being there with them. Many times, Lori would drop by their homes just to get some “cuddle time” from them.
She loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She enjoyed shopping for bargains, baking delicious cookies, traveling and taking her momma and grandma to the theater, movies, and plays or on a bus trip. Lori was an avid sports fan and cheered for University of Michigan, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Lions. Above all, she loved the Lord and she and her husband worshiped daily.
Lori lived an extraordinary life and was surrounded by people she loved some special friends were Debra and George Griffin, Nelda Pula, Deborah Holt, Angela Rochwiak, Dennis McKinley, Joseph Craig who will miss her vivacious and giving spirit.
