Lillie M Sheldon

Lillie Mae (Howard) Sheldon, 81 of Albion passed away peacefully under the loving care of her family and Elara Caring Hospice on Sunday, June 27, 2021. She was born January 30, 1940 in Rensselaer, IN the daughter of Edgar and Jane (Kilgore) Howard. She married Dannie Leo Sheldon and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rickie Lee Sheldon in 1993, both her parents and 7 brothers and sisters.

Lillie and her husband were business owners in Albion for many years (Sheldon Discount, Dannie’s Service, etc). She loved crafting, painting, traveling, cooking, watching cooking shows and was an avid Elvis Presley fan who collected everything she could get her hands on. She also loved being outdoors and tending to her flowers.

Lillie was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend; she had a deep connection with everyone she met, but made sure to make each family member and friend feel special. Everyone felt they were her favorite and she was able to make them feel like they had her undivided attention.

Lillie is survived by her daughters, Karen Sheldon, Roxanne (Rodney) McDonald, son, Dannie Sheldon, 14 Grandchildren, 33 Great-grandchildren and sister, Irene Russell.

Lillie’s family will celebrate her life on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 beginning with visitation at 11AM until the time of service at 1PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion. She will be laid to rest in Rice Creek Cemetery.
