Leonard was a simple man with a big heart. He loved his family fiercely; his children, grandchildren, and his siblings. They were always his number one. He was constantly on the phone checking in and chatting with loved ones who are spread out all over.
He loved old cars, car auctions, fishing, country and 80’s music, and his favorite T.V. shows (Westerns, Gunsmoke, Mike and Molly, American Pickers, and the Price Is Right). He traveled a lot throughout his life and could tell you how to get ANYWHERE. He also had a major sweet tooth. He loved pie, ice cream, and Snickers, and always asked for Melissa’s Vanilla Wafer banana pudding and Meleah’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Lasagna. Leonard always had to have his coffee and check the weather.
Leonard is survived by his children; Kendall Lawson, Melissa Langley, and Meleah & Julian Trujillo; grandchildren, Jacob Trujillo, Justin Trujillo, Blane Langley, Jaren Trujillo, Colin Langley, Jaime Trujillo, KayLee Lawson, Brennon Lawson, and Eibhlin Lawson; and siblings, Dixie Santillian, Sharon Ellzey, Priscilla Wiskow, Connie York, Pete Lawson, Robin Lawson, Marjorie Verbeck, Keith ‘Gator’ Lawson, Kevin Clinkenbeard, and Angie Sherri Navarro.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Betty Lawson; siblings, Walter Lawson, Herb Lawson, Pamela Clark, and Doug Clinkenbeard.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life to honor Leonard and share the love he has given to each and every one of them.
