Kathryn Irene Harris

She married her husband, Clare Harris, on June 26th, 1949.

She was a 1946 graduate of Coldwater High school where she was on the all A’s honor roll 6-12th grade. She then went on to work at Felpausch where she took pride in making her beautiful fruit baskets. She also drove bus for Albion Public Schools for over 20 years. Her favorite quote was, “Sit down and shut up!”.

Kate had a passion for being outdoors. She took pride in mowing the lawn, planting a garden, and her flowerbeds. Red carnations were her favorite. She also enjoyed camping at tractor shows, traveling to Florida to visit family, and playing Euchre.

The things that made Kate smile the most was spending time with her pets, family, and friends.

Kate is survived by her children; Linda and Jim Hess, Bob and Kathy Harris, Richard Harris, Roger and Theresa Harris, and Reggie Harris, grandchildren; Shannon and Kevin Cole, Eric and Courtney Luckett, Charley Harris, Bronson and Klancy Harris, Alex Harris, and Amber Harris, great-grandchildren; Dakota, Aidan, Sophia, Parker, Cayden, Thomas, Trenton, Braxton, Charlee, Hazel, and Miloh.

Services will be held on Friday, February 16th, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM with Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 PM at Freeway Church, 28900 B-Drive N, Albion, MI, 49224.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter in Kate's memory.
