Honorable John Marshall Brundage, age 89, of Marshall, Michigan, died April 17, 2021. He was born June 1, 1931 in Lafayette, Indiana; graduated Albion College 1954 & Northwestern University Law School 1958. Albion, Michigan, City Attorney, Calhoun County Juvenile Court Judge 1973-1994. Served 3 years in the Army Reserve.
Under his supervision and with a remarkable staff, the Calhoun County Juvenile Court was considered a role model statewide and nationwide for meeting the needs of juveniles and families and preventing recidivism. John served 21 years on the faculty for the Michigan Supreme Court, teaching court and DHS staff. He loved sports events, nature, living in the country, travel, and entertaining friends with his jokes and great sense of humor.
He loved his family, including 5 children and 9 grandchildren.
A private celebration of John's life is planned for a future date. Memorials may be made to a food bank, the Sierra Club, Nature Conservancy, Humane Society, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or a charity of the donor's choice.
