Howard was a wonderful man who was both caring and giving. He had a great sense of humor and loved sports. Especially, the Tigers, Lions, and U of M. Most of all, he loved his family. He enjoyed bowling, golf, gardening, and fishing.
Howard was an extremely skilled laborer, building his own home in Springport and working for 34 years at Harvard Malleable. He was a handy man that could do it all. He also spent several years as a member of the Army National Guard.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Daniel H. (Rebecca) Goble; step-children, Darek Whoolery and Amber Whoolery; grandchildren, Clarence Sumpter, Alayna Whoolery, and Lynzie Whoolery; great-grandchild, Zayliee Sumpter; sister, Ruby (Goble) Watts; partner, Connie Nash; and ex-wife, Carolyn Goble.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Goble and Virginia (Pelfrey) Goble; daughter, Sandra Goble, and brother-in-law, Estill (JR) Watts.
A visitation for Howard will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr, Albion, Michigan 49224. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Howard will be laid to rest at Rice Creek Cemetery, Marshall, MI.
