Monday, March 2, 2020 at The Manor at Carpenter’s in Lakeland, FL. He was born October 10, 1929 to Carl and Geneva (Percival) McCullough in Albion. On September 24, 1977 he married
Geraldine Prue who preceded him in death on November 1, 2016. He was also preceded in
death by his parents and his son Michael.
George served his country in the U. S. Navy where he served for 36 years and was a E9 Master Chief. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church of Albion; the Knights of Columbus #5255 of Albion where he was a Past Grand Knight; also served as a State Membership Chairman for 2 years where they acquired 5,000 members in those years; he was also a District Deputy. George joined Decker Nut Manufacturer right out of high school in 1947 and retired in 1990 after 42 years of service as a Production Control Manager.
He loved to play golf and softball where he played for Booth Hardware & Decker Nut Mfg.
and he was one of the first windmill pitchers.
Visitation for George will be Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 6:00 – 7:00pm with Rosary at
7:00pm at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 9 at 11:00am at St. John Catholic Church, 1020 Irwin
Avenue, Albion with visitation starting at 10:00am prior
to the service with Father Joe Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
