Quincy, Michigan. On March 20, 1937, she married Frederick Burkwalt and he preceded her in death.
Evelyn said that the best time of her life was when she was growing up and the incredible Alaskan Cruise that she went on. She cherished her family, as they meant everything to her and she will always be remembered for her apple pies. Evelyn loved to dance, work in her vegetable and flower gardens and adored all her animals, but especially her beloved dog “Daisy Mae”.
Evelyn is survived by her children Donna Collins, Betty Varney, Nancy (Tom) Fairles, Shirley (Larry) Stimer, Beverly (Randall) Sims, Thomas (Christine) Burkwalt, Jean (John) Cox, Jane (David) Guisbert, 22 grandchildren, and many great and great – great grandchildren; siblings Mildred Clark and Perry Leon Kidder; sister-in-law, Judy Kidder; special friend, Eva Rottenbiller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Jimmy A. Burkwalt; twin brothers Donald (Patricia) Kidder and Dale (Leona) Kidder; brothers, Roy (Florence) Kidder, Corlin Kidder, Wayne Kidder, sisters Lulu (Ray) Korn, Erma (Martin) Ball, Edna (Larry) Tawny and Annabelle (Bert) Saylor; son-in-laws, Robert Varney and Wendell Anderson; brother-in-law, Artemos Clark; sister-in-law, Joan Kidder.
Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00PM at J. Kevin Tidd
Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday,
May 16 at 11:00AM with one hour visitation prior to service with Pastor Al Henson officiating.
Interment will follow at Clarence Center Cemetery, Springport.
