Donald Lee Armstrong

Donald Lee Armstrong age 80 of Homer passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek under the loving care of his extended family, a day before his 81st birthday. He was born January 12, 1942 in Branch County, MI the son of Harry and Helen (Wagoner) Armstrong and they preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Patsy Armstrong Drumm, Darlene Armstrong and niece, Wendy Miller.

Don was a lifelong Homer resident, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Homer, and volunteered regularly at the Homer Recycling Center. He was an avid sports fan of Homer Community Schools, University of Michigan, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Lions.

Don is survived by brother, Robert (JoAnn) Armstrong, nieces Sheila Frost (David), Sheryl Fulton, Louise Boehlke (David), and Julie Jeffrey, and nephews Jack Armstrong, Anthony (Rebecca) Armstrong, Donald Drumm, Jr., and Michael Drumm (Paula) and numerous grand, great grand and great-great grand nieces and nephews.

According to Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place On Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church, 309 South Sophia St., Homer, MI with The Rev. Dr. M. Jacob Kaufman officiating. He will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Homer.

Memorials can be directed to the First Presbyterian Church of Homer, Homer Trojans Athletic Booster Club, or Homer Recycling Center.
