Debbie loved crafting. Her favorites were sewing, quilting, making doll clothes and plastic canvas art. She also enjoyed gardening, watching TV, baking, traveling, history and genealogy. Most of all, she enjoyed time with her family and friends. She enjoyed getting together with her girlfriends from school and especially loved spending time with her sisters. She was a member of the Homer VFW along with her mother and sisters. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed sharing her hobbies with them.
Debbie leaves to cherish her memory two children: daughter, DarShan Hammontree (Richard Goodman) and son, Jesse Hammontree both of Marshall; grandchildren: Brianna, Ashley, Xavier, Matthew Hammontree and Naomi Goodman; sisters: Judy (Al) Henson, Vicki Sacharski, Lynette (Jack) Oliphant, Joy (Tony) Kulikowski and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Phyllis Harville and Cinda Yates.
Debbie’s family will receive friends and family for a visitation on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 4-7PM at J. Kevin Tidd funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion. Cremation will follow and a Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the funeral home on March 10, 2023 with visitation at 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. She will then be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Albion. A luncheon will follow the services at the First Baptist Church 980 Haven Rd., Albion, MI.
