David had many passions including cars, music, and photography. He loved living in Michigan and all the beautiful nature it provided. David was a graduate of Alma College and received his Doctorate PhD from State University of New York-Buffalo. David began his 33 year career at Albion College in 1966. He was a professor of Psychology at Albion. David loved the city of Albion and he loved Albion College.
David is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Patricia Buffington Hogberg; children, Daniel Hogberg of Venice, FL, Sarah Hogberg Navarro of Spring Lake, MI, and step-son, Michael Buffington of Marshall, MI; grandchildren, Anders Forster, Grace Forster, Cole Forster, and Luke Buffington; as well as, his sister, Janet Matwioff of Santa Fe, NM.
He is preceded in death by his parents, June and Carl Hogberg.

There will be a Celebration of Life for David at Cascarelli’s Tavern, 116 S. Superior St., Albion, MI on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 3:00PM – 5:00PM.
