Claudette Ann Morgan

Claudette Ann Morgan age 86 of Albion passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Drews Place in Coldwater under the loving care of her family (Stacy) and hospice. She was born January 1, 1937 in Jackson the daughter of Claud and Evelyn (Blanchard) Loomis.

On October 27, 1956 she married Junior Morgan in Albion and he preceded her in death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Lynn Morgan in 2015, a sister, Joanne Morse and both her parents.

Claudette was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Even if her grandchildren weren’t around, she still asked about how they were doing. Her family has lots of fond memories spent out enjoying Duck Lake and the cottage they owned there. In addition to family time, Claudette loved getting together and going out to lunch with her girlfriends and her “sister in mischief”, Gerri Bonogofsky. She loved dogs, was known to carry bones in her car, pocketbook, and porch. Her cardinals adorned every place in her house, on dishes, statues, wall hangings and lamps. She loved reading romance novels and working in her yard, even into June of 2023. Claudette also loved laying in the sun and cooking; she would make big quantities of baked beans and potato salad for friends and family. Her family fondly remembers her inability to make potato salad in small batches; the amount was always massive and well received! Claudette’s home was always open to her family and used as their own residence to get a head start in life.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Michael (Bonnie) Morgan, grandchildren: Shawn (Stacy) Morgan, Courtney Poe, Brittany (Matt) Windom, Stephen Morgan (Tamara), Nichole Morgan; great grandchildren: Madison and Emily Morgan, Kendall and Macie Poe, Landen, Bryce and Porter Windom, Marianne Morgan, also, special niece, Suzanne (Chris) Musa and special grandnephew, Caden Musa +BFF Gerri and her grandson’s mothers, Terry and Liz.

According to her wishes, cremation will take place and a Memorial Service to Celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 12 Noon with Pastor Paul Koehn officiating at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion, MI.
