Chris Charles Calvert

Chris Charles Calvert, age 82, of, Springport, Michigan passed away on Sunday, December 4th, 2022. Chris was born on January 24th, 1940 in Jackson, MI to Loraine and Virginia Calvert. He was married March 3rd, 1962 to his wife Polly A. Calvert.

Chris was an amazing father, grandfather, husband, and friend. His grandchildren were his world. Chris served his country in the United States Navy from which he retired. He was also a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. He was a devoted member to St. John Catholic Parish. Chris enjoyed woodworking, being on the lake driving the pontoon, and breakfasts with his crew. He was always there to help, no matter what.

He is survived by his children: Chris (Donna) Calvert Jr, Philip (June) Howard-Calvert, Michael (Amy) Calvert, and Cynthia (Robert) Plotz; and his sister, Nadine M. Nash.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Loraine and Virginia; his wife, Polly A. Calvert; and his sister, Camella J. LaFontaine.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home located at 811 Finley Dr. Albion, MI. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, December 16th, at St. John Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Final interment will follow the Funeral Mass at Riverside Cemetery in Albion, MI.
