Andre Lamont Armstrong

Andre Lamont Armstrong, age 51 of Albion was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek. He was born December 7, 1964 in Albion, Michigan the son of Matthew Marshall Smiley and Edwina (Armstrong)

Jordan. Andre served our country in the U.S. Army. He attended Albion & Kalamazoo public Schools and graduated from

Parchment High School.

Andre enjoyed riding his bike, spending time with his family. He enjoyed cars and he had a real talent for car detailing. He loved sports on T.V. and played basketball and football in his youth. He also loved spending time with his beloved dog, Sasha.

He is survived by both parents, his siblings: Marvin Leon (Murjaanna) Armstrong, Aurealius R. Fleeton, Timothy Taylor, Matthew Marshall Smiley, Jr., Gregory Taylor, Danny Mixon and Latisha Taylor; aunts and uncles: Bettie Edmonds (Larry, Sr.),

Robert Armstrong, Jr. (Mary), Elijah Armstrong, Sr. (Anna), nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to Genia Stalker for all her support and love to Andre.

Andre was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Lottie Armstrong and 3 uncles: Jackson, Willie George and Louis Armstrong.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Reverend Donald L. Phillips, III

officiating. Gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday,

February 16, 2016 from 11:00 AM—12:00 PM (Noon) at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home.
