Levi King

Levi was born January 13, 1927 in West Salem, IL. His parents were Ernest and Jennie (Collins) King. Levi was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem, IL.

Belonged to American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, was in the Army Air Force 1945-1946 and served in the Philippines.

He was the middle son with Calvin being the older (deceased) and Charles being the younger. He married Mary Jo Dobbs on December 6, 1952. They have 2 sons Randy (Millie) King and Nolan King.

In his life time he farmed, pumped oil wells, drove a School Bus, was an Auctioneer, and Real Estate Sales Person.

He was a wonderful husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Jo of Albion, 2 sons; Randy and Nolan, 3 grandsons, 2 step-granddaughters, 5 step-great-grandchildren, 1 brother; Charles (Clara) King and several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was at Burgin Manor and made many friends while there. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother; Calvin King.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March14, 2015 at 10:00AM at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL Burial will be in Graceland cemetery in Albion. Military rites will be held at the graveside. Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2015 from 5:00 -7:00PM at Ingram Funeral Home.
