Glenna was born in Olney on July 19, 1928 to Glenn and Blanche (Brooks) Luthe.
On December 19, 1945 she married Warren Clark in Olney and he passed away on February 23, 2014. Glenna and Warren raised two boys as if they were their own, Chris Murphy and Jim Murphy. Glenna was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Olney. Her personal interests were varied and included everything from being a self-taught tailor, who fashioned and sewed many of her own clothes, to loving animals. She always dreamed of being “God’s Zookeeper” in Heaven, if such a job existed! She was especially interested in birds. Glenna also was a fantastic cook and she loved to garden. She was also known to be a ruthless Chinese checker player!
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four siblings: Teddy Jr., John, Iris and Elizabeth. Along with Chris (and wife, Nellie Schafer Murphy) and Jim (and wife Vickie Lomas Murphy), she is survived by three sisters: Anna Mae Coulter of Clay City, IL, Rowena Burcham of Carlinville, IL and Carolyn Mitchell of Mattoon, IL. Also surviving are six brothers: Schylar of Roosevelt UT, Ronald of Joliet, IL, Donald of Charleston, IL, Larry Murphy of Davison, MI, And Edwin of Mattoon, IL.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, followed by a funeral at 1:00PM at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral.
