Doyle was born on December 31, 1939 in Grayville to Norman and Rosa (Schmittler) Judge, who preceded him in death.

He began in the Edwards County Sheriff’s Office and finished his career with the Albion Police Department, having served as Chief of Police for two appointments. He also was lead investigator for both the City of Albion and the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department.
Public service was truly his life.
