Tom was blessed with a big family of cousins that gave him much love and joy over the years. He enjoyed their visits, phone calls, and the fun they had at the family farm and other get-togethers. Thank you for the extra time and attention you gave Tom over the last few years. We appreciate that so much! Arnie, your many visits were a blessing.
Tom Christen grew up in Akron and graduated from Central High School in 1949. He entered the Air Force in 1951 and served in Germany at Spandahlem Air Base from 1952-1955 where he processed film from the reconnaissance planes and developed a love of photography. He also loved cooking – his scalloped potatoes, stuffed peppers, and cheesecake were favorites. Tom retired from Ford’s Walton Hills plant. He loved all Ohio Sports Teams, but favored the Browns and OSU. He never met a scratch off ticket he didn’t like and was a regular fixture at Angie’s Restaurant in Barberton and the Wing Warehouse (Town Crier) in Norton.
