Shirley Holt

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, August 5, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment in Rose Hill Burial Park, Akron, OH.

Mrs. Holt was born on July 16, 1938 to Clarence and Sadie Williams in West Memphis, AR. Shirley married Herman Holt and relocated to Akron, OH. The Lord blessed Shirley to see 85 glorious years. She spent most of her life taking care of others and enjoying her favorite hobby which was cooking. She really loved baking her pies and delicious cakes.

Shirley was preceded in death by both parents, her husband as well as seven brothers: Maine, Bully, Ray, Charles, Steve and Timothy Williams; three sisters, Carrie Lee, Doris Billips and Gladys Hall; great-granddaughter, Latianna Edmunds as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Shirley leaves to cherish her beautiful memories three sisters, Lena Jackson, Sadie Ware and Maggie Bland; children, Jackie (Carolyn) Williams, Valerie Taylor, Rhonda (Nancy) Edmunds, Herman, Jr. (Karen) Holt; grandchildren, Latoi Currie, Jackie LaCedric Williams, Jasmine and Janey Kelly, Ashley, Myiah and Keyana Taylor, Latoya Edmunds and Olivia Holt. Fond and loving memories will be cherished also by her great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and other family members and friends.

Another service will be Friday, August 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. EST at Rose Hill Burial Park, Akron, OH
